Sequar is the owner of Sky High Gourmet since 2008; a company providing food services at the Amway Center in downtown Orlando.  Sequar has served on the POPS Board of Directors since 2011, and currently holds the position of Board Treasurer.  Prior to becoming a business owner, Sequar worked for Sun Trust Bank in their Commercial loan department and later Mission Mortgage Corporation.  In this capacity Sequar oversaw branch operations and assisted in loan processing, here she held certifications as a mortgage Broker and Loan Processor.

Sequar believes that all youth should have an opportunity to succeed.  She is passionate about breaking down barriers to help those less fortunate.  She is very active in her community and the Eritrean Orthodox Church of Orlando. Sequar has also served as a member of the Orlando Rotary Club Downtown, and Water is Life International.

Sequar has two daughters and recently became a new grandmother.  She lives with her husband of 35 years in Orange County.
